There are those who will claim that a dislike for computer animation stems from technophobia. This is not necessarily the case. It is an aesthetic preference. The majority of the time when CGI is used it is obvious and simply ruins a scene in a film for me. For example, the CGI animators have yet to make human movement look right. The motion is too fluid.

Live action films have begun to resemble cartoons and this is detrimental to the integrity of that medium. The other negative aspect to the predominance of CGI is the threat it poses to the skilled artists and artisans that have worked to create animatronics and other movie magic over the years. I fear their craft is endangered.
